Every breeder who joins RightPaw must go through the RightPaw Verification process, to ensure we can proudly display you as a responsible breeder on our platform.
To verify each breeder, we conduct a Welcome Call with a member of our team. This is a short phone call to run through our verification process with each new breeder.
On this call, we go through the key areas to become verified, including:
Explaining and confirming their acceptance of our RightPaw Code of Ethics. This has been developed independently by breeders and vets, and is in line with all major state and association guidelines.
Checking their state breeder registration number, where legally required.
Confirming any health tests they may conduct within their breeding program. Generally, we will ask to see an example of this test for one of their breeding dogs.
A short 'video' tour of their dog's living environment, including indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as any designated puppy areas.
Once this is completed, we are able to welcome the breeder as RightPaw Verified, and they will receive a badge on their listing to confirm this.
