Turning applications on or off is super simple! Follow along using the steps and screenshots below:
1. Login into RightPaw, click here to visit the login page.
2. Click "Listings" on the menu on the top right of your screen, and when the menu drops down, click "Edit Listing".
Note: if you have multiple breed listings (for example: a German Shepherd listing and a Labrador listing), then you will need click (a) "Manage Listing", then click "Edit Listing" on the specific breed listing you want to edit.
3. Click the "Applications" tab on the left hand side:

5. Click "Save applications" to save the new settings.
What does this look like on my profile?
When applications are switched ON, your profile shows either a "Join Waitlist" (if you do not have a litter planned) or "Apply for a puppy" (if you have a litter on the ground or on the way). This means buyers can apply through your profile for a puppy.
When applications are switched OFF, your profile shows "Applications Closed", and a greyed out button so prospective buyers cannot apply.
Best practices:
If you want a healthy stream of applicants for your upcoming or planned litter, then it is highly recommended you keep applications switched to ON, so buyers know you are accepting applications. You can change your introduction blurb on your profile or message an applicant directly informing them that you have a planned litter for the future.
βApplications should only be switched off when your future litter is likely to take place more than 12-months into the future, or you are not breeding for the foreseeable future.
βThe moment you know your dam is pregnant (where this is planned or by accident), and you intend on selling the puppies (or part of the litter), then you should login and switch applications to ON that day.
β
The more days applications are switched on, the more responsible buyers you can attract (don't forget to add the litter too on the "Litters" page).
