The "Pricing" tab is where you add your price guide for your breeding program.
This will appear in your profile and provide a transparent overview of the prices you usually charge for a puppy.
You can set your price as a static figure (for example $3,500) OR as a price range ($3,500 - $4,500). You must select from either static or price range, you can't display both on your profile.
Note: the wording "approx price" is always displayed we know pricing can vary based on the circumstances.

Price Range
In the pricing tab:
Click "Price Range", then;
In the "Min price" field - add the minimum price you would charge for one of your puppies (enter numbers only - do not add the dollar symbol);
In the "Max price" field - add the maximum price you would charge for one of your puppies (enter numbers only - do not add the dollar symbol);
NOTE: The platform allows for a maximum of $2,000 difference in price, for example $4,000 to $6,000. A price of $3,000 to $7,000 for example cannot be saved, because the price difference is $4,000.
This is to ensure puppy buyers have an accurate price range and that helps them apply based on their budget.
To save the price, click the purple "Save Pricing" button at the bottom of the page.
What's included in your price?
What's included in your price?
This is where you can specify what is included in the price, or summarise off what you have written in the "What's Included" section of the Breeding Practices tab.
We recommend that breeders add information about deposits and puppy transport (if applicable) in this section.
Is it mandatory to add a price?
Is it mandatory to add a price?
Yes, it is mandatory to add a price in. Below are some of the reasons as to why it is mandatory to add a price in on RightPaw:
It is one of the most common questions asked by puppy buyers. Having a price guide on your profile will help eliminate that question being asked by puppy buyers, especially if your prices largely stay the same with each litter.
Having pricing on your profile provides transparency: it openly provides puppy buyers will an indication of what a puppy would cost.
It helps puppy buyers from a budget point of view: "a lot of people don't really know how much puppies cost!" is a phrase usually said by lots of responsible puppy buyers and breeders.
It's true! There are lots of buyers that don't have an accurate idea of what the price of the pup costs. Having pricing on your profile helps educate buyers of this and allows a buyer to properly assess whether or not they have the budget for a puppy.
Ultimately, they don't know if the information isn't there for them to see.
Would certain pricing deter puppy buyers away?
Would certain pricing deter puppy buyers away?
It's important to price your puppies accordingly, based upon what it costs to raise the pups, and to reinvest in your breeding program, so to avoid buyers being deterred away, always select a price that reflect this and you think is fair based on your breeding program.
It is also important to use other sections like the "breeding practices" section to detail what work and effort you put into your breeding program and how you raise the puppies; as well as uploading high quality photos of your breeding program Why? Because this helps explain to the puppy buyer why the price is what it is.
Any consumer can't assume or imagine what value they are getting, and many puppy buyers will draw their own conclusions if the information isn't detailed for them (as we would all do - we're only human) - so it's important to be detailed in your profile so buyers understand the value they are getting.
