What does this look like on my profile?
When applications are switched ON, your profile shows either a "Join Waitlist" (if you do not have a litter planned) or "Apply for a puppy" (if you have a litter on the ground or on the way). This means buyers can apply through your profile for a puppy.
When applications are switched OFF, your profile shows "Applications Closed", and a greyed out button so prospective buyers cannot apply.

If you want a healthy stream of applicants for your upcoming or planned litter, then it is highly recommended you keep applications switched to ON, so buyers know you are accepting applications. You can change your introduction blurb on your profile or message an applicant directly informing them that you have a planned litter for the future.
Applications should only be switched off when your future litter is likely to take place more than 12-months into the future, or you are not breeding for the foreseeable future.
The moment you know your dam is pregnant (where this is planned or by accident), and you intend on selling the puppies (or part of the litter), then you should login and switch applications to ON that day.
The more days applications are switched on, the more responsible buyers you can attract (don't forget to add the litter too on the "Litters" page).
